Story premise:
The film, which was released in the year 2021, was directed by Vinil Mathew. The film’s premise deals with a housewife Rani (Taapsee Pannu), whose house explodes when she is busy feeding the dogs outside the house. The impact of the blast results in her husband Rishab being killed, based on a charred hand that the police find in the house. The film, then, starts oscillating between the past events and the present-day situations. In a nutshell, the film is about marriage, murder, and retribution.

The impact of the coma is so huge that he simply just does not remember anyone, including his wife and children. Mystery then deepens when the story unfolds with the revelation that Bob is an assassin! For the unversed, the film’s director Diya Annapurna Ghosh happens to be the daughter of the prolific filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, the director who had made ‘Kahaani'.

Story premise:
Aamir Khan plays the role of Inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat, who is extremely disturbed after the untimely death of his young son, who drowns while boating. The disturbance caused due to his son’s death does not even allow him to concentrate on his work properly. That is when a lady named Frenny Mistry enters the scene, claiming that she is a medium who is in touch with dead people. 

Even though Aamir Khan does not believe in whatever she says initially, gradually, he too starts believing in her. Will Frenny Mistry lead Aamir Khan and his wife (played by Rani Mukerji) to mental peace is what forms the crux of the film. For those who have not seen the film so far, let us tell you (read ‘reveal’) that the film also has Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose role is extremely crucial in the film.

The film’s story is about a blind gentleman named Akash Saraf (Ayushmann Khurrana), who happens to be an upcoming pianist. Things go drastic when a retired actor Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan), gets killed. What happens after that is what forms the rest of the story.

Drishyam 2 starts off from where its predecessor Drishyam left behind its story that was about a murder of the son of a topcop Meera Deshmukh (Tabu). The first part of the film saw that all the needles of suspicion were pointed towards Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn), who convinces everyone that he and his family had nothing to do with the murder. 

On the other hand, Drishyam 2 continues with its investigation of Vijay Salgaonkar and his involvement with his family in the murder. This time round, the case’s responsibility goes onto the shoulders of IG Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna). Will the super smart and razor sharp IG Tarun Ahlawat be able to trace out the real criminal behind the death of Meera Deshmukh’s son.

Around the same time, circumstances take a completely different turn when even Shruti’s parents come under the scanner.
