LSD 2 aka Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 trailer is finally here and the focus this time is on the LGBTQIA+ community. The two clear topics which seem to be the focus this time are transgender and gays. Director Dibakar Banerjee had already issued a warning about the sensitive topics being touched in the movie and rape is among one of them. The trailer sees Uorfi Javed apart from Anu Malik. Unlike the teaser, this one does not see Mouni Roy or Tusshar Kapoor.

The trailer

LSD 2 trailer claims to be a focus on the digital era but clearly, the focus is on the LGBTQIA+ community more. The trailer only shows you glimpses of how the social media influencers go to any and all lengths to get some more subscribers or more views, thus giving them the fame they think they deserve. The two instances are from a reality show where steamy scenes and drama sells, and a gamer reacting to his own gay MMS.

Who’s missing

While Anu Malik, Uorfi Javed and Swastika Mukerjee are seen in the trailer, Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor, Swaroopa Ghosh, Anupama Jordan and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia are missing from the trailer. Unlike the teaser and the first song, we do not get to explore more of the VR (virtual reality) world this time around. Sure enough, the film will explore much more than in the trailer.

About LSD 2

LSD comes back after 14 years. The previous installment featured Rajkummar Rao, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Anshuman Jha and Amit Sial among others. All the actors, especially Rajkummar and Nushratt, have made their own name in the industry in today’s time and have movies with them as the leading faces (Shahid for Rajkummar and Chhori for Nushratt).

LSD 2 will explore the dark side of the ‘glamorous’ digital world. The film, produced by Ektaa Kapoor, releases in theatres on April 19.
