The trailer of Lubber Pandhu, the upcoming Tamil film starring actors Attakathi Dinesh and Harish Kalyan in the lead roles, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. The film is all set for a theatrical release on September 20.

After Tamil cinema saw cricket-based films Blue Star and Lal Salaam earlier this year, Lubber Pandhu is an upcoming film which will also be based on the same sports. The film will revolve around street cricket which is very popular in India.
On Wednesday, the makers of Lubber Pandhu released the trailer of the film on social media. Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh play the lead roles. The trailer begins with a man coming home in search of a man. We see that the person is Dinesh who is actually playing cricket. On the other hand, we see Harish Kalyan who is also playing cricket. The trailer shows a love story track, while we see the two players not getting along well. There is enough action, drama, and emotions in the trailer, promising the film to be a well-rounded film.
Lubber Pandhu is helmed by filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu in his directorial debut. Besides Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh, the film also features Swaswika and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy as the female leads. The technical crew consists of music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman and G Madan as the editor.

Lubber Pandhu is set to release in theatres on September 20. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Disney+ Hotstar. Earlier, the director of the film had said that being a fan of the late actor Vijayakanth, he has kept references of him in Lubber Pandhu. Dinesh’s character will be a fan of the veteran actor, Tamizharasan had revealed.
The film marks the first time Harish and Dinesh will be sharing the screen space.
