Scriptwriter Murali Gopy has penned critically acclaimed and commercial movies. His film Lucifer, which was helmed by Prithviraj and starred Mohanlal, is the third-highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. With the sequel of Lucifer, Empuraan expected to go on floors from September end, Murali has now revealed Prithviraj's working style and the elements needed for a successful film.

In an interview with The New Indian Express, Murali said that the recipe for a successful film has not yet been discovered. He also said that no one can predict if a movie will become a hit or a flop.

"There is no special recipe to make hit movies. One cannot predict the fate of a movie. At the time of release, some movies may seem entertaining, but opinions can change. So, the only way to go about it is to be true to your ideas," he said.

Talking about the experience of working with Prithviraj, Murali added, "I include a lot of details in the script, and despite that, Prithviraj would memorise the entire script. He would start shooting only after asking many questions about the script. As a director, he wants complete clarity about the script."

Murali also said that the Malayalam industry has many actors with high market value, and a film no longer just rides on stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal.

Murali has written the scripts for films like Left Right Left, Ee Adutha Kaalath, Tiyaan, and Kammara Sambhavam. His last film, Theerppu, did not do well at the box office.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for his pan-Indian film, Vrushabha. The movie is touted to be a big budget epic action entertainer, which features Shanaya Kapoor, Zahrah S Khan and Roshan Meka in pivotal roles. Mohanlal has also announced a movie with Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph, produced by Aashirvad Cinemas.
