Stirring up the news pot again, Netflix has unveiled a new poster of the sixth season of the popular series Lucifer. Taking to their social media handles on Thursday, the streaming service released a new look into the world of the Devil.

In the poster, we can see Tom Ellis’ Lord of Darkness reigning on his devilish throne once again, but instead of the heavenly settings one might expect from the newly-installed God, as per the cliffhanger in Season 5, Lucifer is present in his usual hellish surroundings once again.

Narrating the tale of Lucifer Morningstar, the ruler of Hell, the series chronicles his journey after he descends to earth, bored with his life in the underworld, presenting situations that may awaken the soul of the fallen angel.

Delivering some game-changing twists, the fifth season of the show streamed on Netflix at the end of May. From the devastating loss of Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) to Lucifer receiving a grand promotion from dear old Dad – the final season will witness the devil’s journey from the ruler of hell to the newly-proclaimed god, and the subsequent consequences on his relationship with Chloe Decker (Lauren German).

In a delightful surprise to fans, RuPaul's Drag Race stars Katya and Bob the Drag Queen will be appearing in the sixth instalment of the show. Speaking with the Script magazine, writer Chris Rafferty opened up about the pressure of pleasing Lucifer’s passionate fanbase with the last sequel. He expressed that although he gets daily messages to continue the show forever, he must draw the line now as all good things must come to an end.

With Joe Henderson as showrunner, Lucifer season 6 is set to premiere on Netflix on September 10.
