Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's era might officially come to an end with the latest update on Luka Chuppi 2. After Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, here comes another movie where Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan chooses another actress apart from Alia Bhatt. This time, it is her Alpha co-star, Sharvari. The movie is likely to see Varun and Sharvari step into the shoes of Kartik Aaryan (Silvat) and Kriti Sanon (Bareilly Ki Barfi). Here's everything we know so far...
Yes, a report on PeepingMoon suggests that Varun Dhawan and Sharvari have teamed up for Luka Chuppi 2. We hear that both the actors have given their nod to the project and will sign the dotted line within the next few months. This would be yet another Varun Dhawan movie without Alia Bhatt as the female lead (even if her Alpha co-star takes the lead this time around).
Varun Dhawan, who is seen in the popular role of Bhediya in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, is likely to bring the supernatural element to Luka Chuppi 2 as well. The actor will next be seen in Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna-Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thama, which is a Diwali release. The movie's motion poster has been unveiled in cinemas recently (along with Bhool Chuk Maaf release). In the film, Varun would be seen in a cameo but it would feature a rather intense fight between the werewolf (Bhediya) and the vampire (played by Ayushmann, to be introduced into the franchise).
Luka Chuppi was helmed by Laxman Utekar, and the film came close to Rs. 100 crore club, earning Rs. 94.75 crore at the Box Office. This time, he looks over the production aspect while one of his associates is expected to take over the director's chair. The movie might start rolling in early 2026.
Varun Dhawan has wrapped up David Dhawan's Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and is now shooting for Border 2 alongside Gadar 2 actor Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty. Varun was supposed to commence filming for No Entry 2, followed by Bhediya 2 once Border 2 wraps up. However, Diljit Dosanjh's exit from No Entry 2 might cause the film's delay, and Bhediya 2 is still in the scripting stage. Thus, the actor was likely roped in for Luka Chuppi 2, while Kartik Aaryan shoots for his next with Karan Johar, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
