Luv Ranjan's next with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha to be partially shot in Spain

Filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s new project featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha will be shot in the Spanish countryside, according to reports. Ranjan has written the story and is directing, producing the project as well.

The film shoot, which flagged off in January this year, is currently underway in Delhi. The team plans to head to Spain in September this year, depending on the pandemic situation. The film’s shoot was delayed by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Alternatively, Ranjan has a backup plan in case things do not go his way. He is considering shooting all indoor scenes in Mumbai if the pandemic situation doesn’t improve in September.

Luv Ranjan’s new project will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor together for the first time. In an interview with Outlook, Shraddha described herself as being ‘super thrilled’ to work with Luv Ranjan and Ranbir.

Music composer Pritam has stated that some numbers from the film will be shot in Europe. He promises a fine blend of dance and romance in the album, drawing parallels to ‘Badtameez Dil’ from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, another Ranbir starrer.

Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia play Ranbir’s on-screen parents in the film and will join the team in Spain if the shoot goes as per the plan.
