The lyric video of the single Naan Pizhai from Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal was released by the film's lead actor Vijay Sethupathi. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha, and revolves around the concept of polyamory, and is directed by Vignesh Shivan.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is now all set to stream on Disney + Hotstar from May 27. Though the film received mixed reviews from the critics, but turned out to be a success at the box office. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, and this marks the composer's 25th film. The album was a hit. Cinematography for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Sreekar Prasad. The film also stars Prabhu, choreographer Kala, Redin Kingsley, and Sreesanth in supporting roles. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is produced by Seven Screen Studios and Rowdy Pictures. Even as the film gears up for OTT release, the movie was leaked online. 

The film has now become one of the highest grossers for Vijay Sethupathi in the UK. Ahimsa Entertainment, which distributed Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal in the country along with Hamsini Entertainment, has officially announced the same through their social media handle. The movie is also Vignesh Shivan's highest collecting venture in the UK.

While Vijay Sethupathi has Maamanithan, Vikram and Viduthalai in his kitty, Nayanthara, has O2 and Connect in Tamil. Samantha is awaiting the release of Yashoda and Shakuntalam. On the other hand, Vignesh Shivan is gearing up to direct Ajith in his next outing. The fiilm, tentatively titled AK 62, will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
