Maa-fame Tithi Basu slams troll after being shamed on social media

Tithi Basu is a known name in the Bengali television industry, though she has been away from the small screen for a long time. She became a household name as Jhilik of the serial Maa. Currently, she is a social media influencer. Unfortunately, the actress gets trolled for her broken love life or for flaunting her body. 

There are many negative comments on the actress’s social media. However, Tithi generally does not retaliate. But this time, she lost her patience. Tithi gave a befitting reply to the trolls, taking two other popular influencers, Kiran Majumdar and Rudra Saha, by her side. 

Tithi answered some selected comments from her Instagram comment box. A netizen wrote under a photo where Tithi wore hot pants, “Didn’t you get any smaller pants? It looks like building pillars.” Tithi asked, “Auntie, do the pillars in your house wear hot pants?” Tithi witnessed her parents’ separation in childhood. Still, she faces negative comments about her father. One person wrote, “Does your father watch your videos?” Tithi retaliated, “Your father, too, watch my videos.” 

Another one wrote, “You can't be a celebrity only by dancing, flaunting your body. I never saw such a dirty girl.” Someone tagged her as a ‘pornstar’ and wrote, “Her obscenity is increasing with age and she is becoming a pornstar.” 

Tithi said, “I faced lots of verbal abuse and trolls from my childhood. But whose shame is it? Those who get insulted or those who insult?” A few days back, Tithi appeared as a bride on social media. She, however, made it clear that it was a photoshoot and she did not have any wedding plans. 

Priyanka Sarkar’s Lajja is coming soon to Hoichoi. Tithi, Kiran, and others were together for its promotion. Priyanka Sarkar will play Jaya Sinha in the series, directed by Aditi Ray. Anujoy Chatterjee will play her husband. Koneenica Banerjee, Indrasish Roy, Kheyali Dastidar, Sneha Chatterjee, Shnaoli Chatterjee, and Indrajit Majumdar will play other roles. Lajja will be released on March 22.
