Kajol's mythological horror film, Maa, from the world of Shaitaan, is releasing on June 27. Ahead of it, the makers dropped the intriguing trailer.

Maa is an upcoming mythological horror film, produced by the makers of the hit 2024 film Shaitaan. Starring Kajol in the lead, the film promises to be more intense with all the spooky and horror elements. As the film gears up for its June 27 release, the makers dropped the much-awaited trailer on May 29.
The makers dropped the trailer for the Maa film. The 2-minute-and-24-second trailer opens with Kajol driving with her daughter amidst a spooky environment. They get scared when a dead body hits the car. The next scene shows Kajol bringing her daughter to a new place, an old mansion and giving her advice not to go anywhere without her permission. However, the daughter gets curious and asks the girl living in that house to show her the abandoned place. Even though the girl does not agree, they go to that place and the girl is heard saying, "No one comes here and everybody says, rakshas lives here."

However, one day, Kajol's daughter goes near the haunted jungle, and a demon drags her away. Kajol goes to any extent to save her daughter from evil forces. The trailer also shows the plot, highlighting a mythological angle behind the demon and its cruel deeds.

Apart from Kajol, Indranil Sengupta, Ronit Roy, and Jitin Gulati will be seen in important roles in the film. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, and is presented by Jio Studios in association with Devgn Films.
It is a pan-India release and will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. The film will be out on Netflix after its theatrical run.
It is written by Saiwyn Quadras and as per a press note, the film explores the timeless battle between good and evil, delivering spine-chilling suspense and intense drama.
Meanwhile, Maa will hit theatres on June 27, 2025.
