We had reported earlier that the shooting for director Mari Selvaraj next with Udhayandhi Stalin, Maamannan, has been wrapped up. The team is currently busy with the post production. In the meantime, the team has announced yet another update from the film. The film has music by Isaipuyal AR Rahman and the director recently shared a picture with the musician in which both are seen sitting in a music studio.
He wrote on his social media handle, "My most awaited days have finally come to light! Mamannan has made this happen! Joining hands with Isai Puyal @arrahman sir himself! Thanku @Udhaystalin sir @RedGiantMovies_ #mamannan 2023 (sic)." We hear that the composer has begun working on the music score of the film.
Interestingly, this is the first time that AR Rahman is teaming up with the Karnan director. Maamannan has Theni Eswar as the cinematographer and Selva RK handling the editing. Action choreography is by Dhilip Subbarayan and dance sequences are choreographed by Sandy master. The film is bankrolled by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
Soon after the release of the film, Mari Selvaraj will move on to his next with Dhruv Vikram. The Mahaan actor will be seen as a kabaddi player and the film will be set against a rural backdrop. The shoot for the film is likely to begin early next year and until then Dhruv is said to be prepping for his character.
Maamannan's lead actor Udhayanidhi Stalin, in the meantime, has in his kitty, Kalaga Thalaivan, which is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. The teaser of the film will be released this evening. Kalaga Thalaivan has Niddhi Agerwal and Nafeez Arav, too, as part of the star cast. Music for the film is by Srikanth Deva and Arrol Corelli. The film is bankrolled by Udhayanidhi Stalin's production house, Red Giant Movies.
