Maanaadu has been grabbing immense appreciation from celebrities, critics and other movie buffs for its out-of-the-world storyline and performance by the stars including Silambarasan and SJ Suryah. Meanwhile, its producer Suresh Kamatchi of V House Productions recently took to social media to announce the 2-day box office collections of the film to be Rs. 14 crores.
The massive first day opening of Maanaadu earned the movie a box office collection of Rs. 7 crores. The collection remained stable on the second day as well. Thus, the film has earned Rs. 14 crore and counting. Various accolades have been pouring in for its storyline and the time-loop concept. The impeccable performance of Silambarasan and SJ Suryah is being lauded by several critics and celebrities alike.
SJ Suryah earlier took to social media to convey his exhilaration about superstar Rajinikanth calling him up and lauding him for his performance as the diabolic cop, assistant commissioner Dhanushkodi. Celebrities like Anirudh Ravichander and Sivakarthikeyan, who saw the movie, congratulated the team of Maanaadu for the efforts put into it.
Maanaadu is one of the most anticipated movies of Silambarasan, which the fans expected would release on big screens. It saw its theatrical release amidst a number of confusions about the postponement of its release date. Apart from Silambarasan, SJ Suryah’s acting was lauded the most especially for his high-pitched tone of dialogue delivery and acting.
Maanaadu talks about the Dubai-based protagonist who travels to Ooty for a wedding and gets caught in a spider-web of chaos that involves getting stuck in a time-loop.
