Maaran motion poster: Dhanush's film to unearth some intense drama. Watch here!

Here's some good news to add to the celebrations of Pongal. All Dhanush fans, don't miss this chance. The actor's next Maaran is all set to premiere on OTT. The makers made an announcement recently that the film will skip theatrical release and will instead, release online. Rumours of its OTT release have been doing rounds for a while now and finally, it's official. 

The film is directed by Karthick Naren and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. The makers have also released a motion poster of the film, which shows the names of the cast and crew against the backdrop of a dilapidated building with intense music.

The role of the female lead in the film is played by Malavika Mohanan. The makers had released an official statement yesterday saying that they will be releasing the motion poster on January 14, on the occasion of Makara Sankranti for Dhanush fans as a special treat.

The wait for the fans is coming to an end as the film is set to release in February on Disney+Hotstar. Maaran is one of the most awaited films of the year as Dhanush, a two-time National Award-winning actor will be seen playing the role of a journalist. He will be opposite Malavika Mohanan, who plays the role of photo-journalist in the film. 

Another reason why the fans can't wait for updates and watch the film is its music composer. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The music director and actor combo have always been a huge hit among the audience. The musician has earlier composed a number of songs for Dhanush’s films like Polladhavan and Asuran. 

Recently, GV Prakash had said that the film will have four tracks in total including its theme song. The opening song will be by Therukural Arivu of Enjoy Enjaami fame. Arivu is said to provide the rap for the song for Dhanush.
