Maareesan, the recent Tamil slow-burn thriller with a unique plotline and starring powerhouses of talent Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles, will be streaming on Netflix from this week. After delivering powerful performances in Maamannan, actors Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil reunited once again for a completely different film, Maareesan. The film was released in theatres in July and after the big screen run, will stream on Netflix from August 22. You can stream the Tamil film in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada by simply changing the audio options on your Netflix account.
Maareesan is directed by Sudheesh Sankar with script penned by Krishna Moorthy. The film features Vadivelu as an Alzheimer’s patient who comes across a petty thief played by Fahadh Faasil. In a series of events, the old man requests the thief to drop him at his friend’s place, while the latter plots to loot him off his money, the old man has a hidden agenda of his own. The film cleverly weaves in human drama, a social message, and slow-burn thriller to tell the story of the two men.

Maareesan features actors Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja in important roles. With Kalaiselvan Sivaji cranking the camera, Sreejith Sarang is the editor. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film.
