Maareesan OTT release: Where to stream Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu slow-burn thriller

Maareesan, the upcoming film starring actors Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu in the lead roles, is all set to hit big screens on July 25. The film marks the second time the powerhouses of talent are collaborating after their previous stint in Maamannan. Here is where you can watch Maareesan after its theatrical run.

Maareesan OTT release: Where to stream Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu film?

Maareesan is an upcoming thriller drama featuring actor-comedian Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. Directed by Sudheesh Sankar with script by Krishna Moorthy, the film is all set to release in theatres on July 25, Friday. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix. Maareesan will drop on the streaming giant after its theatrical run, and tentatively it will be during the last week of August.

Maareesan is a thriller, which is backed by Super Good Films. The film will revolve around an Alzheimer’s patient played by Vadivelu who takes a road-trip with a petty thief essayed by Fahadh Faasil. However, each of them having a hidden agenda during the trip. Maareesan is directed by Sudheesh Sankar, a filmmaker who has helmed television serials in Malayalam. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film.

The film also features known actors including Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja. With Kalaiselvan Sivaji cranking the camera, Sreejith Sarang is the editor. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been penned by V Krishna Moorthy who is also the creative director.

Meanwhile, you can stream Maamannan, the 2023 social political drama helmed by Mari Selvaraj. Both Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil play opposing political forces in the film which also features Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh. The film is available on Netflix to stream. Maamannan opened to positive reviews, especially for its writing and lead cast performances.
