Madharaasi is set to release in theatres on September 5. The film will be releasing along with another Tamil film Bad Girl. Madharaasi will be the next big release in Tamil cinema after Coolie, and is expected to be the major Tamil film next week, hence will enjoy an undivided attention.

The trailer of Madharaasi was released by the makers recently. Filled with action sequences, and commercial elements, the trailer begins with a voiceover asking everyone to love others equally and which is professed by all relions. Sivakarthikeyan is given an action avatar while Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead. There are police who is trying to stop a deadly assignment, as the trailer is filled with stunt sequences.
