Madharaasi OTT release date: When and where to stream Sivakarthikeyan-AR Murugadoss actioner

Madharaasi, the recently released Tamil action thriller starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, will be streaming on OTT very soon. Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights, and you can watch the film from October 1 onwards.

Madharaasi, the 2025 Tamil action thriller is gearing up for its OTT debut. Prime Video announced on Thursday that the film will premiere on October 1. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabeer Kallarakkal in pivotal roles. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can watch Madharaasi soon, by upgrading their existing plans with Prime Video. Madharaasi will stream with audio options in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada from October 1.

Madharaasi is a film which follows the protagonist Raghu who suffers from fregoli delusion.On the way to die by suicide after love failure, he gets recruited by NIA for a mission to crack a crime syndicate which is smuggling guns into Tamil Nadu.

Madharaasi opened to mixed to positive response upon its release. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, and marks Rukmini's second film in Tamil after Ace. Madharaasi is Murugadoss' comeback to Tamil cinema after the 2020 Darbar. 

Murugadoss came together with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time with Madharaasi. It is also the first of sorts for Sivakarthikeyan to be presented in a commercial action avatar, given Murugadoss' previous films like Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Dheena had gone to become iconic films in the careers of stars like Vijay and Ajith.
