Madhavan reveals that he was 'definitely attracted' to Bipasha Basu during Jodi Breakers

Actor Madhavan and Bipasha Basu made a hit pair after appearing together in the 2012 film, Jodi Breakers. Madhavan, who has always been vocal about his thoughts, had then spoken about his onscreen chemistry with his co-star Bipasha. During the promotions of the film in 2012, Madhavan spoke to PTI on his chemistry with Bipasha.

Madhavan had stated that whenever one has a good chemistry on-screen, it means that one has to be attracted to the person. "And I am definitely attracted to Bipasha as a person," he had said.

Describing Bipasha as exotically beautiful and charming, Madhavan stated that he didn't know how their relationship would be on the sets and that Bipasha never made him realise that she was a big star, which made things easier for him. He added that if one didn't have that kind of chemistry, it was difficult to portray romance on screen.

The romantic comedy was directed by Ashwini Chaudhury. Milind Soman, Dipannita Sharma, Omi Vaidya, and Mrinalini Sharma played significant parts in it. The film got a lukewarm reaction from the audience and negative review from the critics, and ended up being a box office flop.

Madhavan was recently seen in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which was released on July 1. Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya made brief appearances in the movie. Rocketry was distributed in six languages throughout the world, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Bipasha was featured in the MX Player online series Dangerous in 2020. Sonali Raut, Suyyash Rai, Natasha Suri, Karan Singh Grover, and Nitin Arora were also part of the series.

On the personal front, Bipasha married actor Karan Singh Grover in 2016 after meeting him on the set of their 2015 film, Alone. The actress had previously dated John Abraham for nearly ten years before they split up in 2011. Madhavan, on the other hand, recently celebrated his 23rd wedding anniversary with his wife Sarita Birje.
