Madhumita to pair up with Soham in Rahul Mukhopadhyay’s next

After Kishmish with Dev and Rukmini Maitra, Rahul Mukhopadhyay is all set to start his new project, Dilkhush, with SVF. Billed as a love story, the film will feature Veteran actor Paran Bandyopadhyay, Anashua Majumdar, Aparajita Adhya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Madhumita Sarkar, Soham Majumder, Ananya Sen and Ujan Chatterjee. While the film will go to the floors on June 30, the muharat took place on June 20.

In an interview with Anandabazar Patrika, Rahul explained that the film revolves around the romantic lives of these eight characters. He further explained that while writing the script, he realised that a hero of one love story can act like a villain in another. These characters, according to Rahul, find love through virtual mediums. While explaining if the story has any futuristic element in it, he said that he believes in human connection more than a connection that is developed on the phone. However, there are artificial elements, he further explained.

Rahul intended to cast veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee in the film. However, that did not materialise. Anashua will be portraying that character and the director expressed his excitement with her casting. “She is the star in the films like Gotro and Mukherjee Dar Bou,” said Raul. In the beginning of his career, Rahul worked with Anashua in a television serial.

Rahul has also expressed excitement of casting Paran in the film. According to the director, Paran has not been well recognised by the industry. “It is amazing to see how he is leading from the front in the industry,” said the director.

Meanwhile, Ananya Sen of Ekannoborti, will be seen in a very crucial character. Soham and Madhumita will pair up for the first time. “I am very optimistic with this jodi,” said the director. The film will also feature Anjana Basu.

Madhura Palit will be seen as the cinematographer. Nilayan Chattopadhyay will be composing the music.
