Madhura Manohara Moham OTT release date: When, where to watch the Sharafudheen, Rajisha Vijayan comedy entertainer

Madhura Manohara Moham is a comedy-drama starring Sharafudheen, Rajisha Vijayan, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Bindu Panicker, Vijayaraghavan, and Saiju Kurup. The film, helmed by Stephy Zaviour will be available to stream on HR OTT from August 22.

Madhura Manohara Moham released in theatres on June 16 was well received and went on to become one of the few Malayalam hits in 2023. The movie made on a small budget has reportedly grossed a profit of Rs 10 crore from the box office.

What is Madhura Manohara Moham about?

The film revolves around Manu (Sharafudheen), who tries to get his sister, Meera(Rajisha Vijayan) married before his marriage. Manu is in love with Shalabha (Aarsha Chandini Baiju), the daughter of the head of an organisation working for the advancement of a particular community in Kerala. To impress Shalabha's father, Manu joins the organisation and becomes the secretary of the local wing. Manu's attempts to get his sister married and the hilarious events that follow form the plot of the movie.

Rajisha Vijayan in an earlier interview with OTTplay said that contrary to the usual sibling relationships, found in Malayalam movies, Madhura Manohara Moham portrays a different brother-sister relationship.

Besides being a comedy film, Madhura Manohara Moham also serves as a satire. The film takes a dig at the caste system prevailing in society and the stereotypical qualities expected from a woman. The writing of Mahesh Gopal and Jai Vishnu has elements of black humour which make the film different from other movies told in the backdrop of marriages.

Madhura Manohara Moham is the debut directorial of the award-winning costume designer, Stephy Zaviour who is known for his work in films like The Great Father, Jana Gana Mana, and Guppy.
