Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri's comedy drama Ma Behan to land directly on OTT platform? Here's what we know

Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri have shared screen space in Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film, also starring Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, follows Rooh Baba dealing with the ghost of Manjulika, but discovers a deeper mystery involving two other women, Mallika (Vidya Balan) and Mandira (Madhuri Dixit), who also claim to be Manjulika. Now, after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Triptii and Madhuri are all set to reunite with a comedy drama, directed by Suresh Triveni, as per reports. The film is tentatively titled Ma Behan.

As per a Pepping Moon report, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri will share a screen space in a comedy drama for Vikram Malhotra’s production banner, Abundantia Entertainment, tentatively titled Ma Behan. The portal also mentioned that it is a Netflix Original and will go on floors next month in Mumbai.

The film is being directed by Suresh Triveni, known for directing the highly acclaimed Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa. The film is a character-driven comedy-drama centered on three main characters, with Dixit and Dimri playing the mother-daughter duo at the center of the story. The cast also reportedly features Ravi Kishan and Dharna Durga, a popular digital creator and influencer.

During an earlier interview with India Today, Madhuri Dixit revealed that her next project will surprise her audience and added, "I am going to challenge myself this year. I am going to start working on my next project soon. It is something very different and challenging, something I haven't tried before."

Triptii Dimri's work front

Meanwhile, Triptii will share screen space with Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara. The film is reportedly on the floor. In an earlier interview with Mid-Day, Vishal opened up about reuniting with Shahid and said, “Both of us are excited to come back together. The shooting has been terrific.”

Speaking about Triptii, Vishal added, "Triptii is so lovely, and such a fine actor. This is the first time I’m working with Nana Patekar, and I’ve been thinking, ‘Why did I not work with him before?’”
