Madhuri Dixit Nene’s Netflix series Finding Anamika has got a release date and a new title. The series is now called The Fame Game and will be released on the streaming giant’s platform on February 25.

A new poster for the series was unveiled by the show’s producer Karan Johar on his official Instagram handle. The poster features an extravagantly dressed Madhuri with an intense look on her face. She is seen standing in front of a wall dotted with pictures of herself and her family.

Other cast members including Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran and Muskkaan Jaferi are also seen in the background. Suhasini Muley also features in a family portrait hung on the wall behind the stars.

The upcoming series is co-directed by Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar. Sri Rao serves as the showrunner and writer.

The Fame Game will be produced by Johar along with Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, the sector of Dharma Productions that deals with digital content.

The series revolves around the story of a famous actress who inexplicably goes missing after a red carpet appearance. As the actress’ life comes under scrutiny, some dark secrets and lies about the superstar come to the forefront.

Madhuri stars as the titular Anamika Anand, the star who has more to her than meets the eye. The series will mark her OTT debut as an actor. She had worked as a producer on the Marathi film 15 August, which had also been released on Netflix.

Meanwhile,the actress' last film appearance was in 2019’s Kalank. She currently is a judge on the dance reality show, Dance Deewane.
