The actor recently opened up about one of her dreadful experiences shooting for a song in a light chiffon sarees in the freezing cold of Alaska.
The actor was shooting for the song Kismat Se Tum Hum Ko Mile with Anil Kapoor for the 2000 film Pukaar in Alaska. While Anil Kapoor was wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a black jacket, Madhuri was grooving to the song in a light blue chiffon saree. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the actor said, she couldn't shoot the song on the first day due to the cold weather. The team had reached around 4 pm to shoot on the glaciers and the choreographer Farah Khan asked her to sing. While she was trying to sing, she said, she couldn't move her lips as she had frozen.
There was a doctor present at the location due to the chilly weather. "She came up to me and said 'no no no, her lips are turning blue. Packup.' So first day was bad. Next day we started getting a little adjusted to the cold and we knew how to dress up for that," she said, adding that there was a person who would run to her and cover her with a blanket and give her a small heater after they finish the take.
Pukaar, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, is an action-thriller, also starring Namrata Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa, Shivaji Satam, and Om Puri. The film is currently available to stream on ZEE5.
