Madonna ‘deeply affected’ by criticism of her changed face; ‘determined to look more like her old self’

If reports are to be believed, ‘queen of pop’ and fashion icon Madonna is “deeply affected” by criticism of her changing face, and is determined to do whatever it takes to get her natural appearance back, before she embarks on her much talked-about world tour. The American singer-songwriter and actress - who was seen in Amazon Prime Video’s World of Madame X - got a lot of flak after her brief appearance at the Grammy Awards in February, triggering plastic surgery rumours. But now, she is desperate to “look more like her old self”.

Although at that time Madonna clapped back at haters, apparently the criticism and comments made by naysayers “deeply affected” her, and right now she is looking to change that image of her for good.

According to a source, who spoke to the Daily Mail, despite what people think, the criticism over her “drastically different appearance” does affect her. “She sees and hears what people say about her and, for the tour, she wants to look more like herself again for her fans,” the insider revealed, adding, “She is undergoing procedures that will restore her natural features.”

Among her latest works include The Enlightenment, a feature film created by Madonna and Luigi & Iango, during the making of a photoshoot for a global magazine. Another interesting project that made headlines was Little Sparrow - a biographical drama film based on the life and career of Madonna. It’s being co-written and co-directed by Erin Cressida Wilson. A previous draft of the movie was worked on by Diablo Cody. In January this year, it was announced that the making of the film was put on hold as Madonna wanted to concentrate on the ‘Celebration Tour’.
