Maestro Ilaiyaraaja to compose for Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's next

Actress-director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, who is known for her films like Aarohanam and House Owner, is now busy with her next. The film, which is yet to be given a title, has Samuthirakani, Abhirami and Mysskin and Robo Shankar as part of the star cast. Music for the film will be composed by none other than maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Sharing a picture with the legendary musician, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, today, wrote on her social media page, "And …blessed to have on board , the one and only, the legendary maestro what an experience it is!! looking forward to the RR sessions of my next directorial , final stages of shooting in progress…(sic)."

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan also shared some stills from the film in which Samuthirakani and Abhirami are seen with a baby, along with stills of Mysskin and Robo Shankar. She wrote, "My next directorial is in the final stages of shooting, We have on board a legend and some terrific actors, With God’s Grace hoping to bring for you on screen soon (sic)."

The director has been sharing updates about the film without revealing much about the same. She had recently revealed that she had had a traumatic month with the health scare of someone close. She wrote that it was her work that kept her going. 

Sharing pictures from the set, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan wrote, "Hi last few months have been eventful & traumatic in fact, with a health crisis for a dear one. In the midst of all that doing what I love to do Call it #Karma #Goodwill it is paying me from all sides, unimaginable support & love from unexpected quarters and common people (sic)." She added, "Amidst the pain and challenges, managing to continue work with the same passion Focussing on the positive side and count the blessings (sic)."

Lakshmy Ramakrishnan also has to her credit films like Ammani, Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe. The actress-director has also been hosting the reality show Nerkonda Paarvai.
