Maha Samudram, the multi starrer directed by Ajay Bhupathi, is a film that audiences are waiting with immense excitement. Starring Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anu Emmanuel, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh and ‘Garuda’ Ram in pivotal roles, the intense action saga produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara is inching towards its theatrical release on October 14. The power-packed trailer of the film was launched at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad, graced by the lead actors Sharwanand, Anu Emmanuel, cinematographer Raj Thota, composer Chaitan Bharadwaj and director Ajay Bhupathi.
Set in the backdrop of Visakhapatnam, the trailer takes you to the intriguing world of Maha Samudram - a concoction of love, lust, betrayal, action, vengeance, greed and bloodshed. The film unfolds amidst a group of gangsters and their quest for power, where Anu Emmanuel and Aditi Rao Hydari are the on-screen love interests of the lead characters played by Siddharth and Sharwanand (at different phases of their life). Rao Ramesh's character is modelled on the lines of a modern-day Shakuni and Jagapathi Babu is at ease with his baddie act.
The colourful, funky costumes, the slick action sequences and the dialogues add vigour to the trailer. Rao Ramesh's performance, Raj Thota's cinematography, Chaitan Bharadwaj's intense score and the screen presence of the lead cast are the cherries on the cake. Sharwanand has finally landed a script that looks to have utilised his abilities to the fullest and Siddharth's grey avatar is another reason that compels you to watch it. Maha Samudram looks like an epic, multi-layered action saga made on a huge canvas and it certainly has all the ingredients to make for a perfect big-screen experience.
The film is edited by Praveen KL, with Kolla Avinash and Venkat roped in as a production designer and action director respectively.
