Vikram’s highly anticipated action flick, Mahaan, is counting down the days to its release. The makers recently unveiled the first look posters of the film’s stars, Simran, Sananth, and Muthukumar, which hint at a mixed bag of interesting-looking characters to look forward to in the film.

The film’s director, Karthik Subbaraj, took to his official social media handles to share the first look posters. Simran is seen draped in a shawl and sari with an intense look on her face, while the background features rows of sitting women. Muthukumar, dressed in a white shirt and dhoti, flashes a smile, his hands held up in front of him to form a triangle. Sananth gives off "maverick" energy, sporting a beard and plaid shirt, his foot resting on a barrel.

The characters of Simran, Muthukumar, and Sananth are called Naachi, Gnanam, and Rocky, respectively.

The upcoming film also features Vani Bhojan, Dhruv Vikram, and Bobby Simha in starring roles along with Vikram. The character posters for the latter four had been unveiled by the makers earlier. Simha will essay the role of the film’s main antagonist, named Sathyavan.

Mahaan will see Dhruv and Vikram share the screen for the first time. The film marks Vikram’s 60th onscreen project.

The action film is touted to be a story of revenge, revolving around the tale of a father-son relationship.

Karthik serves as the film’s director and writer. The film is bankrolled under the banner of Seven Screen Studio by Lalit Kumar. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film.

Mahaan will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from February 10, 2022 onwards, in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada languages.
