Maharani Season 2: Huma Qureshi returns as Bihar CM and vows to take on goons

Sohum Shah has been constantly pushing the envelope when it comes to his characters and has kept the audience's excitement up with his repertoire of work. He recently released the look of his character Bheema Bharti from the much-awaited Maharani season 2 and had even captioned it, "“Aaj Bheema Ke kirdar mein. Guess Karo kya ho raha hain?#Maharaniseason2”

 After a long wait, the trailer of the political drama, has now dropped online. Taking to his social media handle, Sohum shared the trailer of Maharani season 2 and left the audience awestruck with the twist and turns in the series. 

He captioned it, "हर चाल मायने रखती है ♟️ #BheemaVsRaani #MaharaniSeason2 (sic)"

In the trailer, which is a tad longer than two minutes, Huma Qureshi, who plays Bihar Chief Minister Rani Bharti, is seen returning as the CM of new Bihar. In the meantime, caste politics gets entangled with religious politics as the opposition tries to take her government down. Political turmoil ensues and violence grips Bihar. Rani Bharti vows to take over the goons, but has to face a stiff opposition, who would no leave no stone unturned to topple her position. 

Sohum's character Bheema Bharti seems to have got a whole new transformation. The political drama, helmed by Ravindra Gautam, features Huma Qureshi, Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Dibyendu Bhattachary, Kani Kasturi, Anuja Sathe, Pramod Pathak, Inaamulhaq, Vineet Kumar and Ravindra Gautam. The show will begin streaming from August 25th on SonyLIV.

Apart from ‘Maharani season 2, Sohum Shah has an exciting lineup in the capacity of an actor and a producer, as he looks forward to one of the busiest years in his professional career with the feature film Sanaa and several other developments in the pipeline. The actor is known for his work in films like Ship of Theseus, The Big Bull, Simran, Tumbbad and Talvar to name a few.
