Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram's #SSMB28 release date announced, even before the film goes on floors

#SSMB28, the 28th project in Sarkaru Vaari Paata star Mahesh Babu's career, will have him reunite with director Trivikram Srinivas after a decade. Both their earlier collaborations, Athadu and Khaleja, are among the most-celebrated films in their respective careers and one can't wait to see what they would offer audiences this time. The production house Haarika and Hassine Creations, unexpectedly shared an update about the film's release date today. 

While earlier the team had confirmed that the film would be a summer 2023 release, now it's official that #SSMB28 would hit theatres across the globe on April 28,2023. It's a time when the academic session for most schools and colleges would be over and the holiday season would set in. One couldn't have thought of a better time to release a Mahesh Babu film. #SSMB28 is touted to be a wholesome entertainer, the makers hinted.

Pooja Hegde is cast as the female lead of the entertainer while Prithviraj Sukumar is very likely to come on board as the antagonist in this big-budgeted project. #SSMB28 was to commence shoot in August but we hear that it has been postponed further (mostly September) owing to the ongoing strike. S Thaman, who recently won a national award for Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, is scoring the music for the film. PS Vinod is the cinematographer with AS Prakash roped in as the art director. 

National-award winning technician Navin Nooli is the editor of #SSMB28. Another female lead is expected to be cast in the film shortly as well and several names are doing the rounds for the same, though there has been no confirmation from the team yet. S Radha Krishna is bankrolling the film. The banner Haarika and Hassine Creations had completed its first decade in Telugu cinema recently. Their first project was Julayi, directed by Trivikram, starring Allu Arjun and Ileana D'Cruz.
