Mai character promo: Prashant Narayanan plays a powerful, evil character in Sakshi Tanwar's Netflix series

Netflix's crime-thriller series, Mai, is all set to premiere on April 15. Ahead of its release, the makers have unveiled a character promo of Prashant Narayanan, who is portraying the role of a powerful person named Jawahar. The Sakshi Tanwar starrer has been directed by Anshai Lal, Atul Mongia.

The latest video features Narayanan's rich and powerful antagonist sitting on the chair as he starts talking about Wamiqa Gabbi's character named Supriya Chaudhary, who is deaf and mute in the show. "She was a talented girl but to showcase her talent she reached the wrong place," says the antagonist about Supriya. Meanwhile, the actress comes in montage and starts giving a speech in sign language and says, "The members of our medical fraternity are also very shy. Ask them, where has the money for building a hospital has gone?" 

Narayanan's Jawahar comes into the frame again to complete his monologue and says, "I believe in handling things with love. So... I exactly did that." In the end, the promo video sees the actress getting tortured by the antagonist in an office room.

The OTT giant shared the character promo on its official IG handle with a quirky caption that reads, "Raaste ke kaante ho ya phool, raaste mein ayenge toh kuchhle he jayenge. Khaas kar jab rasta Jawahar ka ho. Kya hoga Jawahar se bhidne ka anjaam? To find out, watch Mai on 15th April. #Mai #MaiOnNetflix (Sic)."

Backed by Karnesh Ssharma under the banner named Clean Slate Filmz, the forthcoming crime-drama series has been created by Atul Mongia. Atul Mongia himself alongside Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas, Mai also stars Vivek Mushran, Anant Vidhaat, Raima Sen, Ankur Ratan, Prashant Narayan, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.

Mai is slated to release on April 15 on Netflix.
