Sakshi Tanwar is creating a buzz in B-town with the trailer of her upcoming show, Mai. The Netflix show, directed by Anshai Lal and Atul Mongia, also features Raima Sen, Wamiqa Gabbi, Vivek Mushran, Prashant Narayanan and Seema Pahwa. Tanwar will be seen playing an innocent mother. After being let down by the law enforcement agencies, she takes a vow to take revenge for the death of her daughter. This new avatar of the actor and glimpses of the show in the trailer have been hearts of the people. 

Recently, Tanwar responded to the reactions to the trailer of her new show. In the video, shared by Netflix, she also shares some tidbits about the drama. Reacting to one of the fans' comments on social media on why the show isn't called 'Kahaani Gun Gun Ki' after her big break, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, the actor said that's very creative. She further said that Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki is a very special show but as an actor, she always looks forward to doing new things and that is why she did Mai, 'for the thrill of it'. 

The actor also said reacting to the comment about the stellar cast that it was a fun experience working with them all. Though they couldn't joke or have a few laughs on camera, they did have a good time off the camera.

The upcoming series revolves around Sheel (Tanwar), a woman in her late 40s, who is thrown into the world of crime and dirty politics, after the death of her daughter. Though the police investigate and confirm that it was an accident, she is not convinced and decides to go to any length to uncover the truth. She vows to avenge the death of her daughter by finding out the people responsible for it. 

The series is produced under the banner of Clean Slate Filmz, the production company, founded by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Ssharma. It will premiere on Netflix on April 15.
