Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim’s biopic that features Ajay Devgn will release on June 21. Along with him, the film also features a number of actors from Kolkata, including Rudranil Ghosh Amartya Ray.

This film will mark Rudranil’s debut in Bollywood. In an interview with Aajkal, he said that his patience is paying off. “Sabar ka fal meetha hota hai,” he said. Earlier, he worked in a film with Naseeruddin Shah. However, that film never got released. “As I grew older, my experience also increased. Physical acting and throwing dialogues tend to make you more fatigued. However, I think God decides the right time for everything. Paran Bandyopadhyay became a bigger star after Tonic. Bumbada (Prosenjit Chatterjee) has recently proved (with Jubilee) what a good script can do,” he said. Adding to it, the actor mentioned, “Mumbai recognises the original storyteller more than the Bengali entertainment industry and that is not just about a higher remuneration. During our shooting, my director once came to me and said that the writer wanted me to redo the shot. That’s how it should be. The writer visualises the characters the best,” he said.

In the film, Amartya Ray will portray the character of Chuni Goswami.
