Although Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan will release in Indian theatres on April 10, the film is already out in Dubai. It released in UAE on April 4, a week before the Indian release. Early reviews of the movie are out and reportedly, the viewers are liking many aspects to the film. The last 30 minutes, especially, have worked well, if the report is anything to go by.

The first reviews

Maidaan’s last 30 minutes, according to a source quoted on Pinkvilla, ‘are thrilling and absolutely gripping.’ The report states that the film is shot well and taps into lots of emotions and drama along with the matches. The source went on to state that the film has three heroes – Ajay Devgn, Amit Sharma (director) and AR Rahman (music).

Cleared without cuts

Maidaan has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie was passed with zero cuts, which means neither a scene nor a dialogue was removed from the film. The only disclaimer they asked the makers to add was that the movie is a work of fiction inspired by true events. Further, the disclaimer reads that the dialogues are to dramatize an event. Apart from that, the makers have to add the anti-smoking sticker where a character is seen smoking a cigarette. The end credits of the film are set to be in Hindi. The runtime of Maidaan is 3 hours, 1 minute and 30 seconds.
