Main Atal Hoon motion poster: Pankaj Tripathi unveils his first-ever look as Atal Ji, calls him pm, poet, statesman and more

Today, on the birth anniversary of India's most beloved Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi unveiled his look as Atal Ji from his upcoming film, Mai Atal Hoon. The political biopic drama is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker, Ravi Jadhav and written by Utkarsh Naithani.

Tripathi took to his official Instagram handle and shared a motion poster as well as a few still posters showcasing his first-ever appearance as Atal Ji in the upcoming biopic.

‘Main ATAL Hoon’ revolves around the journey of our multifaceted ex-Prime Minister who was also a poet, a statesman, a leader and a humanitarian. Ever since makers announced that Pankaj Tripathi will be essaying the role of Atal Ji in his biopic, audiences were waiting with bated breath to see Pankaj Tripathi in the avatar of our ex-Prime Minister. 

At first, the ace Indian actor shared the motion poster that witnessed Sonu Nigam singing Main Atal Hoon in the background. Tripathi penned a heartfelt note in the caption which includes a poem by Pandit Dhirendra Tripathi that reads, "न कभी कहीं डगमगाया न कभी कहीं सर झुकाया मैं एक अनोखा बल हूँ मैं अटल हूँ | - पंडित धीरेन्द्र त्रिपाठी अवसर मिला है इस विलक्षण व्यक्तित्व को पर्दे पर अभिव्यक्त करने का। भावुक हूँ। कृतज्ञ हूँ। #MainAtalHoon सिनेमाघरों में, दिसंबर २०२३। (sic)."

Tripathi shared another post on Instagram with a note in Hindi from his heart that translates as - I know that it is necessary for me to work on my personality with restraint in order to make 'Atal' ji's personality come true on screen. I have firm faith that I will be able to do justice to my new role on the basis of enthusiasm and morale.
