Main Hoon Na 2 is on the cards - Know exciting details about Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan's film

Shah Rukh Khan's Main Hoon Na marked Farah Khan's directorial debut in 2004. The film became a blockbuster and it is still one of fans' favorites. Also starring, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao, and Zayed Khan, the film is about an army major who goes undercover as a college student to protect a general's daughter and reunite with his half-brother. Now, after nearly two decades, the Farah and SRK might reunite for Main Hoon Na 2.

Details about Main Hoon Na 2

According to a Pinkvilla report, Farah Khan is working on a script for Main Hoon Na 2 under Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s production banner. A source close to the project revealed, “Farah has come up with an idea for the sequel, and Shah Rukh loves the direction she’s planning to take. The screenplay is currently in progress, with collaboration between Farah’s writing team and in-house writers at Red Chillies."

What is Shah Rukh Khan saying about Main Hoon Na 2?

The source added that Shah Rukh doesn’t want to do a sequel just for the sake of nostalgia. "He understands how iconic Main Hoon Na is and has asked for a solid script that surpasses the impact of the original," the source added.

The superstar will reportedly review the first draft by mid-2025 before taking a final decision. If the sequel materializes, it will mark the fourth collaboration between Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, after their previous hits Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year.

SRK will debut on the OTT world with his son Aryan Khan's debut directorial, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. The Netflix series is about an ambitious outsider and his friends who navigate the larger-than-life but uncertain world of Bollywood. The series highlights self-aware humor with a high-stakes narrative. 

The show's team opened up about the project and added, “Behind the glamour of Bollywood lies a world just as dramatic as the films themselves—and that is where the Netflix series, The BA***DS of Bollywood begins. Through Aryan Khan’s distinct lens, this series dives into the glitz, the chaos, the comedy, and the high stakes of an industry built on dreams."

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh also has King in the pipeline. The film will also star SRK's daughter, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.
