Maine Pyar Kiya: Hridhu Haroon-Preity Mukhundhan's film to clash with Mohanlal's Hridyapoorvam

The makers of Malayalam upcoming film, Maine Pyar Liya, confirmed that the movie will hit the big screen during Onam. However, an exact date has not been revealed. With a poster, it was revealed that Hridhu Haroon will play the lead with Preity Mukhundhan in this flick. So far, Fahadh Faasil's Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad's Hridyapoorvam are slated for Onam release this year.

Maine Pyar Kiya, a romantic comedy drama

Maine Pyar Kiya is touted to be a romantic comedy drama, but with intriguing elements of a thriller. The production team had previously revealed that the movie would feature a few Tamil actors in addition to an impressive cast of young Malayalam actors. The film is being directed by debutante Faisal Faziluddin and is being produced by Sanju Unnithan under the auspices of Spire Productions. The script was written by the director as well.

The teaser for the film suggests that a young couple is being sternly watched by a group of people in case they decide to run away together. While a Tamil gang is heard ordering the man to be apprehended and brutally murdered, a group from Kerala is heard promising to move the couple safely to Kottayam shortly. Arjyou, Jeo Baby, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopy and Askar Ali are among the supporting cast of the movie. The film's shooting was wrapped up in January.

Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan Films

The Tamil actress rose to fame with her notable debut in Kavin's Star as well as the Tamil music video, Aasa Kooda, which is composed by Sai Abhyankkar. Maine Pyar Kiya marks her Malayalam debut. Meanwhile, Hridhu is known for his performance in All You Imagine As Light, which is streaming on JioHotstar. The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival last year year. With Kappela-fame Muhammad Musthafa's sophomore directorial, MURA, the young star, who made his big screen debut with the Hindi web series Crash Course, made his Malayalam debut.
