Why is teenage love so awkward and yet beautiful? What is so special about it? Oh Isha, the heartwarming number from Major launched today, is exactly what you need to take a look at. The song takes you back in time through the teenage years of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and his first love Isha. Composed by Sricharan Pakala, Oh Isha is sung by Chinmayi Sripada and Armaan Malik.
The lyrical video captures many beautiful moments in the relationship between Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Isha. Watch out for how cheekily the former asks for his lady love’s number and she reveals one digit after the other across different instances. From sneaking into cinema halls secretly to impromptu meetings in public places, each other’s houses and the two gaining each other’s trust, there’s a lot of innocence, mischief and warmth in the character establishment.
Revathi and Prakash Raj, cast as Adivi Sesh’s on-screen parents, too make brief appearances in the song. While Saiee Manjrekar appears aptly cast as the teenager, the efforts of Adivi Sesh to get into the skin of a younger role deserve your attention. Armaan Malik has always had a pleasant, soothing voice and with someone as experienced as Chinmayi giving him company, Oh Isha never loses its momentum.
There’s a lot of 90s flavour in the song and it is helped by the fact that Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar share terrific on-screen chemistry. Murali Sharma and Sobhita Dhulipala also essay important roles in Major, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. Adivi Sesh has written the story and the screenplay. Cinematographed by Vamsi Patchipulusu, Major is a joint production between GMB Entertainment, A+S Movies and Sony Pictures Films India.
