After several postponements, Adivi Sesh's biographical film Major was released in theatres across the nation on June 3, 2022. The film was a box office smash and was well-received by the audiences. The movie is based on the true story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who died during the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 while serving the country. Major was given the Ashok Chakra, India's highest peacetime military honour.
And now, Major is making its way onto digital platform after a successful theatrical run across the country. The film will be out on OTT giant, Netflix. The streamer took to social media to announce that it has purchased the streaming rights to the film Major. The film will be available on Netflix India on July 3. Major will be accessible in three languages Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. Fans filled the comments box of the social media post immediately, expressing their excitement for the film's arrival.

The film, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murli Sharma. Sony Pictures Films India produced the film in collaboration with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and A+S Movies.
Adivi Sesh, who is not only an actor but also a director and screenwriter working mainly in Telugu films, began his acting debut with the 2010 Telugu film, Karma. Throughout his career, the actor has delivered several significant hits, including Goodachari, Evaru, Dongaata, and others.
The actor is now working on his next Telugu film, HIT: The Second Case. The first instalment is being remade in Hindi, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra.
