Sashi Kiran Tikka has directed this biopic of armyman Sandeep Unnikrishnan, that stars Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar

The latest addition to a long list of biopics being made on armymen is of course Major, based on the story of 26/11 hero 'Major' Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh is headlining the film while also writing the story. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, with whom Adivi Sesh had collaborated for Goodachari, Major is a joint production between GMB Entertainment and Sony Pictures International Productions. Saiee Manjrekar and Sobhita Dhulipala play the female leads in the film. Major is releasing in three languages - Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam- on June 3.
Ahead of the film's release in June, the makers are launching the theatrical trailer in all the three languages today. Three leading stars of Indian cinema, Salman Khan, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be launching the film's trailer in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam respectively. Major's theatrical trailer will be unveiled at 4.59 pm today. While the film was simultaneously made in Hindi and Telugu, it was later dubbed into Malayalam too.
The entire cast and crew of Major will be later interacting with the media at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad today for the trailer launch. The Hindi trailer was earlier shown to select audiences in Mumbai the previous week. In addition Adivi Sesh and Sashi Kiran Tikka interacted with the Defence minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi, screening the trailer for him, while also discussing the story of Sandeep Unnikrishnan briefly.
Revathi, Prakash Raj, Anish Kuruvilla and Murli Sharma are also a part of Major. Sricharan Pakala is composer of the film and a single, Hrudayama, sung by Sid Sriram topped the music charts in the week of its launch. Cinematographed by Vamsi Patchipulusu, the film is edited by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi and Kodati Pavan Kalyan. Avinash Kolla is the production designer with Sunil Rodrigues choreographing the action sequences.
