Make way for Maari, declares Raj B Shetty as he presents his next, Toby

It’s been an open secret for quite a while that Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty has made not one but two films recently. The first is Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye, which he made for Ramya’s production house, while the second is a project that he’s acknowledged only in the last few days. His close pals, like Rishab Shetty, for instance, have alluded to the project and Raj’s working style that has allowed him to make two back-to-back movies.

Actors who have worked on said project were beyond thrilled about the opportunity to work with Raj and how that has changed their perspectives of the craft. There’s been a lot of glowing praise for the actor-filmmaker, whose last film, Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana was a gangster film with no notable female characters. His fourth as a filmmaker, which may just be his third release, after all, has been shrouded in a lot of mystery, even though, it’s been said that he’s called it Toby.

Well, Raj is finally ready to let us into the world of his film, by announcing what he’s been up to. In the last few days, he has hinted that it is a film that this is one film that used his full potential as a technician and artiste – one that left him tired, exhausted and bruised, but happy at the end of it all. The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here – The ‘Beast’ that Raj’ been referring to in his own words is Toby. Announcing the release date of his next production, directed by his associate Basil, wich he's acted in, Raj wrote, “Make way for Maari 💥The beast that got the best out of us! Presenting to you, #TOBY 𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝟐𝟓 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑.”
