The poster was shared on the official social media handles of Drishyam Films. The poster shows a person whose face is covered with a white cloth, leaving only their eyes, welling with tears, visible. Viewers can also see bruises on the person’s forehead as well. Part of the caption on the post read “Get ready to witness a story of resilience and grit”.

In a statement, director Manish spoke of how the film is intended to shine a light on the hypocrisy that leads to a plethora of crimes committed against women, which seem to be increasing in number with each passing day. The director said that he hoped his film would empower women to speak out and stand up for themselves. He also hoped that the audience will understand the relevance of the film and will also speak out on the same.
The upcoming film stars Pooja Pandey and Vineet Kumar Singh in pivotal roles. On why she chose to do the role, Pooja said that she was moved by the script and felt that it was a story that should be told. She also spoke of how the character took a lot out of her physically and emotionally. Her co-star Vineet had this to say of the film “While Siya is based in India it has universal appeal because this concern is a global one.”
Siya will be released on September 16.
