Kalapakkaara, the peppy dance number from Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha, was released on his birthday (July 28). The dance single, picturised on Dulquer and Ritika Singh, was released in 4 languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. Composed by Jakes Bejoy, it is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Benny Dayal.
Now, the makers have released the making video for the song on Dulquer's official YouTube channel. The one-minute 'making video' features Shreya singing the Malayalam version of the song.
Meanwhile, Kalapakkaara is still trending No. 1 on YouTube with over 4 million views in all 4 languages. Dulquer shared the news through his social media pages in a post captioned, "Right on top of hearts and charts! Kalapakkaara from King of Kotha has reached 4 million views and trending #1."
Kalapakkaara, which is a party song, features Dulquer in a rugged avatar.
Helmed by Abhilash Joshiy, King of Kotha will be released in theatres in August, for Onam. The film is said to be the biggest film of Dulquer's career in terms of its scale and budget.
According to reports, the movie is made on a budget of around Rs 50 crore and has already raked in the highest pre-release amount in the Mollywood.
Scripted by Abhilash Chandran, the film is a gangster action drama set in the fictional city of Kotha. Dulquer will be seen in two looks as there are two timelines. Actors Shammi Thilakan, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Chemban Vinod Jose play pivotal roles.
King of Kotha is bankrolled by Dulquer's Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios.
