The team of Mohanlal-starrer, Malaikottai Vaaliban, will be moving from Jaisalmer to Pokhran in Rajasthan for the second schedule of the Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial, according to sources from the team.

Lijo and his crew have been working on the movie, which is made on a big budget, in Jaisalmer and had also shot for the past three weeks. They will now move to Pokhran, which is just under two hours from the current location, for the next few portions.

Mohanlal is expected to be busy with Malaikottai Vaaliban till March 31. The actor will also be shooting for a few promos of the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Malayalam, which is set to begin hosting by March end or April first week.

The team of Malaikottai Vaaliban has already begun shooting the action sequences of the film, which reportedly has Mohanlal essaying the role of a wrestler. The superstar has been training to get in shape for the character, which will see him in several varied get-ups. While in Jaisalmer, Mohanlal had also completed shooting for his extended cameo in Nelson Dilipkumar’s action-comedy Jailer, which has Rajinikanth in the lead. Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff and Tamannaah Bhatia are also part of the cast of the film, which will mark Mohanlal’s comeback Tamil film after almost a decade.

Soon after he wraps his portions for Malaikottai Vaaliban, Mohanlal is also expected to be busy with final touches of post-production of his directorial debut Barroz: The Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure and its promotions. The actor also has a schedule of Jeethu Joseph’s Ram remaining, for which he head back to the UK.

Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are set to team up again for Empuraan this year. The team is reportedly planning to being the shoot of the film on August 15. The recce team has reportedly shortlisted locations in six countries for the second instalment in the Lucifer franchise.
