Malaikottai Valiban or something new? Mohanlal, Lijo Jose Pellissery film’s title to be unveiled on this date

Mohanlal fans as well as some of the industry’s top celebs including Prithviraj Sukumaran are waiting for director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film with the Drishyam superstar. The latest update from the team is that they are all set to announce the title of the upcoming movie.

Sharing a poster that is reportedly the sketch of the main location of the movie, which is being build in Rajasthan, the team had announced that the title of the film will be out on December 23.

The film’s producers John & Marc Creative had shared the poster on their page along with a post that also hint at what the movie could be about. Earlier, there were reports that the film will be titled Malaikottai Valiban and will have Mohanlal essaying the role of a wrestler. There were also reports that it will be a period film. None of this has been officially confirmed.

The post shared by the producers said that ever since the film’s announcement two months ago, people in Kerala have been eagerly awaiting the news of Mohanlal and Lijo’s venture. “A film is not a dream that is realised in a day or a week. It might sometimes take years to make the movie we have dreamt of,” wrote the producers, adding that they are completely aware of the burden of expectations that is one them from the collaboration of a “genius” and a “phenomenon”.

The team also said that they are working on the different aspects of the film during its pre-production. In a recent interview, Prithviraj had revealed that he got to hear about the film’s subject and said that it’s a big film. The movie is expected to go on floors by mid January in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Prithviraj, who said he was excited to see Lijo helm the film, also said it will be a “challenging film to make”.
