Malavika Satheesan, who made a splash with her brief appearance in Choosi Choodangane alongside Shiva Kandukuri, will next be seen in a wacky rom-com Boyfriend for Hire. She is paired opposite Viswant Duddumpudi in the same. The film, directed by Santosh Kambhampati, is set to release on October 14. Venu Madhav Peddi and K Niranjan Reddy have bankrolled the film under Swastika Cinema and Primeshow Entertainments. Ahead of the film's release, Malavika spoke with the media.
"Going by the title, viewers may presume this is a 'bold' attempt, but it isn't. The film, certified U/A offers clean entertainment. I play a girl-next-door role Divya in it. This is a very lively part and for a change, the girl tries her best to woo the boy. The role give me an opportunity to showcase my range with emotions in addition to comic timing. The story revolves around a unique concept. I am confident audiences will like it. It merits a big-screen experience," she said.
While Viswant plays an introvert in the story, Malvika is cast in an extroverted character. "We are both like Tom and Jerry in the film. I am Jerry in this," she stated, on a lighter note. Santosh considered her for the role after watching a cover song and asked to give an audition. "They felt I suited the part and finalised me. I am working on another project with him too." She thanked her producers for leaving no stone unturned to make the film on a lavish scale.
The actress had finished her education only recently and is taking the 'slow and steady' route with her career in cinema. Malavika is already working on three films - including Dochevaarevarura with Siva Nageswara Rao and another project produced by Super Good Films. "Telugu industry has accepted me with open hands and I am very happy being here. People here are ready to welcome good talent regardless of where they come from." She claims to be a good fan of Adivi Sesh, Naga Shaurya, Akhil Akkineni.
