A lot of films, including some highly anticipated ones, were released in May. Not all, though, have been successful in captivating audiences or bringing in huge amounts of money at the box office.

In the meantime, a number of films will make their big screen premieres this month, including multiple releases scheduled for June 7 and June 14. Some of these films, while not highly anticipated, should dazzle viewers with their narratives and performances. The main Malayalam releases for this month are listed below.

Shane Nigam and Mahima Nambiar, Malayalis' favourite young on-screen pair, are back in Little Hearts. The film features a romantic subplot between two families and centres on the lives of farmers in Kerala's high-altitude regions. It is expected that the film will also look at the dynamics that influence contemporary relationships.

Golam (June 7)

Golam stars Ranjith Sajeev and Dileesh Pothen in significant roles that point to an engrossing plot driven by their intriguing performances. The film revolves around a young police officer who is looking into a case involving the death of a business owner in the lavatory of his organisation. It was initially reported by the police as an accidental death, but he thinks it was a planned-out murder.

Grrr (June 14)

The film is essentially a slice-of-life humour drama about connections between people, with a zoo playing a part in the story, based on the teaser and posters. In this movie, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kunchacko Boban, and Shruti Ramachandran have major roles.

Machante Malakha (June 14)

Soubin Shahir, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Namitha Pramod are the main characters in this film, which is directed by Boban Samuel. The people in the bus on the movie poster are presumably the residents of the village that Soubin works as a bus conductor for the KSRTC.

Ullozhukku (June 21)

The story of a family in Kuttanad, who had to wait for the floodwaters to subside before burying a deceased relative during the monsoon is told in Ullozhukkku. But in the interim, several truths and deceptions surface, raising questions about the family's fundamental values.

Nadanna Sambhavam (June 21)

Shruti Ramachandran, Lijomol Jose, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Biju Menon are the film's main actors. Biju Menon appears in the teaser as a family man who, in his wife's words, is a considerate and understanding spouse. However, because of his regular encounters with women, the other men in the colony perceive him as a pervert and hold different opinions.
