Vinay Forrt starred along with Fahadh Faasil in Mahesh Narayanan’s political thriller, Malik, in 2021. Four years since Malik garnered critical acclaim for its gripping plot and performances, Vinay Forrt is once again joining hands with Fahadh Faasil for Althaf Salim’s Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira. The Thamasha actor recently spoke about what changed in his performance as he collaborates with Fahadh, who is a force to be reckoned with.
Fahadh Faasil-starrer Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, which also features Vinay Forrt, is set for an Onam release. In a recent chat with Club FB, Vinay Forrt spoke about how he was full of doubts while acting alongside Fahadh in Malik, but all that changed for Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira.
While pointing out that Fahadh is a great actor, Vinay said, “Even if he doesn't do anything, viewers are seeing him as this brilliant actor. I play almost an equal character in Malik. So I had decided that I would give 100 per cent."
He further said that he is extremely thankful to Mahesh for giving him the role of David, a friend-turned-foe in the Fahadh Faasil-starrer. “In Malik, David goes through a whole lot emotions that a man experiences,” he added.
In contrast, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira is a full-on humour film, Vinay says. “So the focus is only on whether we viewers will laugh. I play Fahadh’s elder brother in the film. It was very comfortable to work in Althaf’s film,”
Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the female lead in Althaf Salim’s second directorial after the much-loved Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.
Malik, the 2021 Malayalam political thriller, is available to stream on Aha and OTTplay Premium. The film follows Sulaiman or Alikka, who rises to become the leader of his coastal village in Kerala. Vinay Forrt plays David, who was once a friend of Sulaiman and later cut ties with him. Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Dileesh Pothan and Indrans also appear in other key roles.
