Malli Pelli trailer: Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh in a relationship drama defying societal norms

Naresh, prior to his marriage with actor Pavitra Lokesh, wasn’t in the news for the right reasons, thanks to the consistent media glare surrounding his tiff with his ex-wife Ramya Raghupathi. Both parties reached out to television to share their side of the story and it took an ugly turn over time. However, Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh cleared the air when they formally announced their relationship.

The actor is now producing a film inspired by a series of incidents prior to his marriage titled Malli Pelli. He’s playing the lead along with his wife Pavitra Lokesh while the likes of Madhoo, Jayasudha, Vanitha Vijaykumar, Sarathbabu, Annapoorna play key roles in the film. Noted producer, filmmaker MS Raju has written the story and is directing Malli Pelli, which is releasing on May 26.

Ahead of its release later this month, the film’s trailer was launched in the presence of the cast, crew and media today. Naresh and Pavitra play an on-screen couple who’re going through a difficult phase with their relationships and find solace in each other’s company. While Pavitra resists the former’s advances initially, she opens up eventually and love is in the air.

The celeb couple keeps denying rumours about their relationship to the media. However, what starts as a memorable association is misinterpreted by their near and dear, public and it affects their personal life. There’s a lot of drama surrounding the ex-wife of the male actor, who tries to every trick in the book to cause problems. Is there a happy ending in store?

Roshan, Ravivarma, Bhadram, Yukta, Praveen Yandamuri essay other important roles in Malli Pelli. Suresh Bobbili, Aruldev are the music directors for the film while MN Bal Reddy and Junaid Siddique are the cinematographer and the editor respectively. Bhaskar Mudavath is the production designer and Ananth Sriram is the sole lyricist.
