After Mohanlal’s Empuraan makes its hits silver screen this week, Mammootty-starrer Bazooka is the other big Malayalam release of the year. There were reports about the Bazooka trailer being screened along with Empuraan in the theatres. Now in the latest update, the team has confirmed that the Bazooka trailer will be out on the eve of the Empuraan release which is March 27, 2025.
The trailer of Bazooka, starring Mammootty, will be out on March 26, 2025. The exclusive trailer screening will be held at Ragam theatre in Thrissur at 8pm on March 26. And the Bazooka trailer will be released online on YouTube at 8.10pm on Wednesday. However, reports also stated that the Bazooka trailer will also be attached with Mohanlal's Empuraan when it hits theatres on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Bazooka, directed by Deeno Dennis, will make its grand release in theatres on April 10, 2025, two weeks after Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Empuraan has arrived.
Bazooka stars Mammootty along with Gautham Vasudev Menon in the pivotal role of an IPS officer. Babu Antony, Neeta Pillai, Sharaf U Dheen, Jagadish, and Sidharth Bharathan play other key roles. Gayathiri Iyer, Divya Pillai, Iswarya Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, Spadikam George, and Shammi Thilakan are also part of the cast.
The action-packed film, which is touted to be a game thriller, is written by debutant director Deeno Dennis, who is the son of yesteryear scriptwriter Kaloor Dennis.
For the unversed, Kaloor Dennis, who penned popular films such as Gajakesariyogam, Mimics Parade, and Paithrukam, has also scripted films, starring Mammootty, during the 1980s.
Meanwhile, L2 Empuraan, which is the second instalment in the Lucifer franchise, will release in theatres worldwide on March 27 in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
Apart from direction, Prithviraj Sukumaran will also star in a key role in the film, which comes six years after his directorial debut Lucifer in 2019. You can watch Lucifer on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium right now.
