Mammootty drives to Pune to join the sets of his next movie, see photo

Malayalam superstar Mammootty will soon start shooting for his next film in Pune. A photo of the star driving to Pune from Mumbai was shared by his team. "@MKampanyOffl Production No.4 Next Schedule Shoot Begins Tomorrow In Pune @mammukka Now Heading to Pune from Mumbai Via Road (Self Drive) Revealing Title & First Look Very Soon Stay Tuned !!," tweeted Vishnu Sugathan, who is Mammootty's social media manager.  

Besides playing the lead role, Mammootty is also bankrolling the project under his home production banner Mammootty Kampany. After completing over 4 decades in the film industry, Mammootty launched his production banner in 2021. Under this banner, he has so far produced small-budget movies that are close to his heart. So far all of the movies that were bankrolled by Mammootty Kampany have won the admiration of both critics and the audience. 

Mammootty's Rorschach and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam were an instant hit with his fans. While Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam was a critical success, Rorschach managed to succeed both critically and commercially. The 71-year-old star will next be seen in Kaathal - The Core, which is now in post-production. He has also produced the film. Written and directed by Jeo Baby of The Great Indian Kitchen fame, Kaathal - The Core also stars Jyothika in the lead. And the film has created high expectations among movie fans. 

In the meantime, Mammootty Kampany's fourth production, which has been reportedly titled Kannur Squad, will be helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Roby Varghese Raj. The film is said to have actors N.P. Nisa, Shebin Benson, Rony David in the supporting cast. 

Mammootty was last seen in the cop movie Christopher, which was directed by B. Unnikrishnan. The film was panned by the critics.
